Christian Thommessen is an impact investor engaging in microfinance and building enterprises promoting the interest of the low-income population in the developing world. He is the founding director of United Nations Development Programme's Private Sector Division, the former chair of the board for Save the Children Norway, and former board member for Save the Children Global Alliance and Save the Children Germany. Christian is a business entrepreneur in the internet/tech sectors, the former CEO of multinational companies, and board member of Scandinavian stock-listed companies as well as the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation and Norwegian University of Science and Technology. He also chairs the board of the Prospera Foundation, a network of young professionals giving free time to various social causes.
Mardi Crane-Godreau is an assistant professor at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth College where her research addresses the interactions of the immune, endocrine, and nervous systems. She is an investigator at the Norris Cotton Cancer Center, director of the Cigarette Smoke Exposure Analysis Laboratory at Dartmouth College, and a senior investigator at the Mind and Life Institute. Inspired by questions about unexplained illness and neurologic complications to many common diseases, Mardi trained in Somatic Experiencing theory and methods to gain insight into the immunologic, endocrine, and molecular mechanisms of disease.
