Application for US, South Korea, and India trainings. For all other trainings, please contact your local training organizer. How to Apply for the Professional Training Program
To apply:
- Locate the Beginning I training you wish to take by searching the Training and Event Schedule.
- Complete and submit our Application for the three-year Somatic Experiencing® Professional Training Program
- Attach your updated professional resume when prompted in the application.
- When the application process is finished, you will be prompted to sign the Student Informed Consent and Release Agreement. It is imperative that you sign and submit this before your application can be considered complete.
Only complete applications with an updated professional resume and a signed Student Informed Consent will be processed and considered for admission. Please note that this application is for enrollment in the Three-Year Training Program and not for a specific cohort. Although you will be directed to select a preferred cohort, you may change your preferred cohort at any time prior to your Beginning I enrollment by emailing admissions@traumahealing.org. You do not need to submit a new application to change cohorts. Please be sure to read through the transfer policy in the Student Handbook for more information on the transfer process and fees.
If you are having application technical difficulties, please contact: admissions@traumahealing.org. Please note: If the training is on a waitlist we encourage you to still apply as we often see movement through these lists.
Special Instructions for taking your Beginning I module by video:
We STRONGLY encourage you to take all training modules in person. Half of every 4 day module consists of practicing what you are learning in small groups. When you take a module by video you are still getting high-quality instruction presented by a faculty member, but you miss the opportunity to practice what you are learning.
We realize that there may be circumstances where it is not possible to take a training in person. We allow you to take one module in your Beginning year, and one Module in your Intermediate year by video. Consecutive modules MAY NOT be taken by video– in other words, you may not take Beginning III and Intermediate I by video. Advanced year trainings are not available to be taken by video.
If you take Beginning I by video, you must also complete a review session with an Approved Review Session provider BEFORE you can take Beginning II. This review session is included in your registration fee and can be done via phone, Skype, or in person. Click here for a list of approved video review session providers.
If you cannot take your Beginning I training in person, please complete the electronic application and indicate where you anticipate taking the Beginning II module.
*You must have an intended Beginning II location in order to apply for Beginning I by video. You will be expected to register for your Beginning II course concurrently with Beginning I by video.
