Location: Online
Details
Developmental movement principles track how human motor development arises at the moment of conception and continues through the first year of life. How that process is fulfilled deeply affects who we are as humans.
When early motor patterns are inhibited or over-used, the infant learns compensations that may create imbalances leading to nervous system imprints and behaviors that last a lifetime, unless carefully re-negotiated through awareness and somatic movement practices.
The early movement patterns are largely sub-cognitive, so are particularly helpful in working with individuals with pre- and perinatal trauma, attachment patterning, and those who live with the pattern of global high intensity activation.
Drawing from the disciplines of Somatic Experiencing® and BodyMindMovement, the webinar will offer experiential learning in several of the early pre-natal movement patterns and train participants to incorporate developmental movement strategies into trauma resolution practices.

Somatic Experiencing® for Legal Professionals
Date: May 9, 2025 | 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM MTPresenter: Rebecca Stahl, SEP™, JD, LLM
Location: Online
Details
Legal professionals work in high-stakes, high-stress environments, often supporting clients through some of the most difficult moments of their lives. Yet, legal training rarely prepares professionals to manage their own stress or to work effectively with clients whose trauma and life experiences may hinder their ability to navigate the legal system. This workshop provides an overview of how trauma and stress affect the nervous system, their impact on both legal professionals and clients, and practical strategies for self-regulation. Participants will also gain foundational tools to engage with clients in a more trauma-informed way.
We’ll talk about how to notice tendencies to identify or rebel against things the inner critic says about us—negative self statements and negative self-attributions. We’ll work with Inner Critics, Criticized parts and impact on taking action with somatic awareness and parts work from an Inner Relationship Focusing perspective.
You do not have to be a practitioner to participate.

Location: Online
Details
This training will be held ONLINE through Zoom.
Honoring our commitment to serving the needs of those who have, to date, been under-represented in the SE community, Somatic Experiencing International is launching its first BIPOC (Indigenous, Black and otherwise identified People of Color) cohorts.
While representing a wide range of cultures and experiences, this cohort will provide the opportunity to learn SE to an international audience of practitioners dedicated to supporting their marginalized communities in healing from the damaging effects of trauma. Students will be able to learn the SE skills and framework within the safe environment of a BIPOC training team and participants and explore how the skills are applicable to their communities.
We will be covering the standard SE curriculum while recognizing how issues of racism and historical oppression impact our experiences of traumatic events. We will also explore how culture and connection to culture helps to heal trauma.
This Basic Principles of Somatic Experiencing is a live workshop is for professionals interested in learning the basic principles and theory of the SE model and to learn more about the 8-module SE Professional Training Program.
