CONTINUING EDUCATION FAQ

To view the PDF of the FAQs below, click here. If you still have questions, please email: evaluations@traumahealing.org.

What is the Continuing Education team?

The Continuing Education team manages the approval applications for our trainings. They also send out evaluation surveys for training modules so you may receive your CE or non-CE certificates of completion.

What CEs are covered?

State Boards may have different requirements; few may honor partial credit hours. It is the responsibility of the licensee to check with individual boards to verify CE requirements. The CE Team will work with the participants to answer questions the State Board may have.

I would like to find out more information about my specific state and profession. Who can get me that info?

Please send an email to evaluations@traumahealing.org and include your state and professional board.

I’m not sure if there are CEs for my specific training module. Where can I receive this information?

Please go to the Training & Event Calendar here to find your specific training. Then click “Event Summary” to view all details about the program. Then select the CEs tab.

Can I receive partial credit?

To receive CEs, you must attend 100% of the training module. Partial credit will not be given by SEI, and students must petition their board to receive partial credit. If you need additional documentation to petition your board, please email evaluations@traumahealing.org.

Can I receive credit for a video training?

At this time, CE credit is offered for live trainings only (including Zoom). No CE credit is awarded at this time for video modules, webcasts, or other remote study options.

How many CEs can I earn?

The CE offering is currently based on the agenda for each individual module. CE offering varies between 22-36 CEs depending on the Beginning I – Advanced II schedule in a module’s agenda. Online cohort Beginner I – Intermediate III participants should expect 22 CEs. In-person Beginner I – Intermediate III participants should expect 24 CEs. Advanced online cohorts will earn 30 CEs and in-person will earn 36 CEs. Advanced II will only be offered in-person for 36 CEs.

Do you have approval through the APA?

We submitted our APA application in 2021. We were not approved. We are looking into other avenues for psychologists.

Do you have CEs for Social Workers?

We are currently in the process of submitting our ASWB ACE course applications. Currently we ONLY apply for ASWB CE Course applications in Boston, MA; Montclair, NJ; New York City, NY; Raleigh, NC; Roanoke, VA; and Tulsa, OK cohorts. ANY SW who needs CEs should consider joining these cohorts.

When will I receive my evaluation?

The evaluation/survey is typically sent out the Monday after the training at 5 PM in the time zone of the training. Participants should check their email promotions / junk / spam folder for an email from evaluations@traumahealing.org.

When will I receive my certificate?

The CE certificate will be available for download and sent after you have completed your post-training evaluation. You will have two weeks to complete your evaluation from the date it is sent. If you are in immediate need of your certificate, or have any reservation on completing the evaluation, please email evaluations@traumahealing.org for your CE certificate. If you missed a portion of the training, you will need to email evaluations@traumahealing.org to receive your non-CE certificate.

I am an assistant and would like to apply for Continuing Education credits. How do I do this?

Assistants receive the same survey at the end of the training and need to fill it out for their certificate. As an assistant, you are responsible for verifying with your licensing board whether they will accept multiple submissions of the same module for Continuing Education credit (for example if you have submitted CEs for a Beginning I module as a participant of the trainings and then resubmit a Beginning I module as an Assistant of the training, it is up to your licensing board if they will grant and honor these as new Continuing Education credits).

Is it possible to get CMEs (Continuing Medical Education) for any SE Programs?

Although many medical professionals have been through our trainings and found the skills to be of great benefit to their professional practice, at this time, we do not offer CMEs.

I had to miss part of a class, can I still get CE credit?

As per our provider agreements with partner organizations, we are only allowed to provide CE credit for FULL in-person attendance at a training module. Each module or workshop is approved for a certain number of course hours and we cannot award partial credit. Participants must attend all hours in person to receive credit. No credit will be awarded for partial attendance or for those who make up missed hours by video.

I lost one of my CE certificates. How can I get a replacement?

Please email us to request a replacement certificate for a class you have attended. Please include the training level, dates and location of the class you need a certificate for. The certificate will be emailed to you.

Can I get CE credit for a non-US class?

SE™ International only awards CE credit for trainings we directly administer. Non-US classes are administered by independent international SE organizers. Your country’s organizer must be approved as a CE provider for you to receive CE credit for a non-US class.

Still have a question?

Please send an email to evaluations@traumahealing.org. If you have already sent an email, please allow one – two business days for a response before emailing again!
