Somatic and Bodywork Practitioner, Educator, Developer of Touch Skills Training for Trauma Therapists

Kathy Kain has been practicing and teaching bodywork and trauma recovery skills for nearly 40 years. She teaches in Europe, Australia, Canada, and throughout the US. She is a senior trainer of the SE Professional Training, an adjunct faculty member for Sonoma State University, former director of training and education for SE International, and was a senior trainer for 12 years in the Somatic Psychotherapy training program based in Sydney, Australia.

Kathy co-authored the books: Nurturing Resilience, Helping Clients move Forward from Developmental Trauma; The Tao of Trauma, A Practitioner’s Guide for Integrating Five Element Theory and Trauma Treatment; and Ortho-Bionomy: A Practical Manual. She is the developer of the Touch Skills Training for Trauma Therapists, and co-developed the Somatic Resilience and Regulation: Early Trauma programs.
