Sean Frankino
SEP, LCSW, ESQ
Sean Frankino is a licensed clinical social worker, psychotherapist, educator and recovered lawyer in private practice in New York City.
Sean spent the early part of his career providing psychotherapy at a community mental health clinic where he worked with the LGBTQIA+ community, persons living with HIV/AIDS, Spanish speaking immigrants, and the formerly incarcerated, to name a few. This work inspired him to seek a greater understanding of overwhelm and trauma, first through training in EMDR and then in Somatic Experiencing and touch. His transformative personal and professional experience with SE has sparked a lifelong interest in helping people with overwhelm, embodiment and enlivenment.
Sean integrates SE with EMDR, relational psychotherapy and touch work. In addition to teaching Somatic Experiencing, he is a trainer in Attachment Focused EMDR. He is also co-owner of Pneuma Works Therapy, a NY based group practice that provides varied forms of trauma resolution treatment.
