| Description This session will describe the development, implementation, and outcomes of a brief group intervention (4-biweekly sessions over 2 months) comprised of SE principles and practices provided to an immigrant resettlement organization in Connecticut. Approximately 35 participants attended this interactive, highly experiential program. Each session was provided in English with experiential practices taught in both English and Spanish, was 75 minutes, and focused on autonomic nervous system responses to trauma and resulting physical mental, emotional, and behavioral dysregulation. Presentation of physiological information was paired with a variety of experiential exercises and SE practices to improve nervous system self-regulation. Participation in the program was required but participation in the research component was voluntary and anonymous. Participants were asked to fill out an assessment before and after the 4 sessions covering their work role, demographics, and 3 validated question sets – the Life events Checklist (17 items), the PTSD Checklist for DSM-V (PCL-5, 20 items); and the Professional Quality of Life tool, (PROQOL, 30 items). The assessments were offered in both English and Spanish. Twenty-four participants completed both the pre- and post-assessments. The presenters will report on participants’ role, demographic characteristics, descriptive statistics for the three tools (pre, post and differences), and their statistical and clinical significance. Study limitations, implications, and next steps for offering a brief intervention of SE practices will also be discussed. The presenters will also offer some inspirational stories about the subsequent use of SE practices by the organization in their internal and external meetings and at home with their families. The presenters are intending this session to be an interactive discussion with the audience. Learning Objectives 1. Describe the underlying theory of an SE group intervention 2.
