The Relationship Between Caffeine & Trauma Healing – Luis Mojica, CLC, CNC, SEP

The Relationship Between Caffeine & Trauma Healing – Luis Mojica, CLC, CNC, SEP

Description

This webinar will teach SEPs and self-helpers the relationship between caffeine and our adrenals/nervous systems. Many people will spend decades in therapy for anxiety, insomnia, and other symptoms of PTSD without ever addressing caffeine consumption.

Caffeine stimulates adrenaline which literally turns on fight/flight response. I’ll be discussing the nuances of how we can better understand this through the lens of trauma.

How caffeine is used to mobilize through freeze response. How being in fight/flight from caffeine can allow us to get things done and create a sense of aliveness and safety that we don’t feel when we’re vulnerable.

We’ll also discuss how long-term, habitual use of caffeine is exhausting to the adrenals and counter-productive in healing stress & trauma.

This webinar is 1 hour 36 minutes long.
