Student Highlight: Nichol Chase, ERYT-500, YACEP, TSM, BM

Nichol Chase, a talented teacher, musician, and yogi, embodies the harmonious fusion of singing, movement, and life itself. With a diverse range of influences, Nichol's yoga practice seamlessly blends invigorating flow with precise instruction, reflecting her extensive study with innovative teachers. As a member of the first cohort of the Garrison Institute Fellowship and a faculty member and teacher trainer for The Mazé Method, she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her teaching. 

Beyond her yoga expertise, Nichol's artistic background spans over a decade of Royal Academy ballet training and specialization as an operatic Coloratura Soprano. Her commitment to excellence led her to obtain a Bachelor of Music degree with a major in Vocal Performance from the University of the Pacific Conservatory of Music. 

Upcoming Online Series hosted by the Garrison Institute: Cultivating Wisdom Through Healing Engagement 

The Garrison Institute is offering a series by Nichol Chase  titled “Cultivating Wisdom Through Healing Engagement.” In this thought-provoking series, Nichol will engage in deep and meaningful conversations, exploring various aspects of wisdom, such as healing trauma, self-mastery, and building meaningful relationships. 

Renowned experts will join Nichol in these discussions, providing unique insights through their respective lenses. Dr. Daniel Siegel will contribute his expertise on mindfulness from the perspective of Interpersonal Neurobiology. Mahshid Hager, SEP, LCSW, will shed light on movement through the lens of Somatic Experiencing, while Tracy Stackhouse will explore music through the Polyvagal Theory. 

Throughout the series, Nichol will share her developed approach, the Wisdom Building Method, which integrates  the scientific disciplines of Somatic Experiencing, Interpersonal Neurobiology, , The Safe and Sound Protocol, and the Polyvagal Theory. This methodologies serve as  inspiration for healing engagement through practical applications. 

By delving into the interaction between individuals and their environment, Nichol emphasizes the potential for wise thinking and the role it plays in personal growth. Through the lenses of science and practice, she encourages participants to reshape their perspectives on themselves, their circumstances, and the world around them.
