How SEI Will Support Data Updates in the New Portal

SEI’s new online portal has launched — your single digital home for events, memberships, directories, our new e-store, community connections, and, down the line, much more. We want to share how you’ll interact with your data in the new system. Please read this information carefully, as it contains important information about timing!

Why Some of Your Data May Look Incomplete at First

Our database includes more than 85,000 people — more than 30 years of trauma‑healing work — and our community continues to grow every day. SEI also receives training data from more than 80 organizers worldwide, often through spreadsheets and other tools. We also connect with the international SE community through the Peter Demo Library and the Practitioner Directory.

These systems were never fully unified, even though our staff worked diligently to keep them aligned. Now, with the new portal, all of this information is being integrated into one secure database. This is a major step forward, but it also means some data may need to be reconnected.

Like most databases, our system identifies each person by their primary email address. If you've used multiple email addresses—or if we don’t have your current one—you may notice missing information when you first log in.

Don't worry — your data likely exists in our records, but it may not yet be linked to your account. Once we verify your current email, we’ll be able to reconnect everything.

When to Submit a Request for Help

You can submit a request at any time, but SEI will begin responding to certain types of requests after the dates listed below. If we can respond sooner, we will update the community. Our team will be working hard to keep things running smoothly as you engage with the new portal. Our new Constituent Request Form has a new category for data issues.

  • If you have a training in the United States within the next 5 days or 45 days, we will see your request and respond quickly.
  • If you need your information updated in order to access the Practitioner Directory or membership at the assistant price, we will begin responding to these requests February 15, 2026.
  • If you can’t access content in the new e‑store (review videos, Peter Demo videos), we will begin responding to these requests March 15, 2026.
  • Once we are caught up on data matching, our response times will return to within three (3) business days for all requests.

How to Request a Data Update

To request help with mismatched or missing data, please complete the Constituent Support Request Form and choose the Data category.

What Information to Have Ready

To help us reconnect your records as quickly as possible, please have:

  • Any certificates of attendance you’ve received.
  • Any email addresses you may have used in the past.
  • If you no longer have those records, the exact training name, the dates you attended, and the full name you used during that training.

How SEI Will Reconnect Your Records

SEI has the information that has been shared with us throughout the years. If your record is mismatched, we likely have your name connected to the event you attended. With the right details, our staff will be able to match your records and reconnect your full training history.

This process may take time, especially during the weeks following the launch, but it ensures accuracy and preserves the integrity of your learning journey in the new system. It also ensures your ability to interact with the system correctly long into the future.

Thank You for Your Patience and Partnership

We’re deeply grateful for your patience and support as we make this transition together. With the new portal, we finally have a unified, accurate picture of the SE community — one that reflects over 30 years of healing work and sets us up for the next 30 to come. Together, we can continue to transform lives through healing trauma.

Technology Upgrade
Frequently Asked Questions

SEI has been providing trauma resolution training for more than 30 years, and we are thrilled to announce a technology update that will allow you to interact with SEI directly through an online portal!

We are integrating our systems and data into one place where you will have access to events, media, memberships, directories, donations, and more in a single place. This portal will integrate data, allowing you to have greater agency over your SEI user experience. And it will reduce the administrative load for the approximately 30 SEI staff that serve our global community of more than 80,000 members in more than 50 countries.

This portal will make it possible for all of us to put more energy into transforming lives through healing trauma.

Overview

What is happening with technology at SEI?

SEI is launching a new online portal that brings all systems and data into one place. You’ll be able to create a login and have agency over your access to media, membership benefits, registrations, applications and more. This reduces administrative work and allows SEI to focus more energy on supporting trauma-healing communities worldwide.

When can I expect more information?

We will continue adding FAQs and training videos on our technology upgrade webpage as we get closer to the launch. Videos will be added during January 2026 that will show new portal features and how to interact with the new portal, regardless of your role within the SEI community.

What contact avenues to SEI will exist in November and December?

During the Salesforce upgrade, SEI will share updated contact instructions on our technology upgrade webpage.

How do I contact SEI during the Salesforce upgrade week from Jan 15 - 23?

From January 15 – January 23, 2026, SEI will be transferring data from multiple sources into the new system. This will take a full week, and during that week, SEI administrative tasks will be unavailable. You may still sign up for Bookings calls during the upgrade week.  If you have an urgent request for a training happening during that time, please reach out to your coordinator or organizer who will be able to get in direct contact with SEI staff. The Contact Page will be back up and running when the new system launches on January 23.

What can I contact SEI about during the upgrade week?

You can continue contacting SEI with general information questions, such as admissions criteria or timing of different trainings. Any questions that require transactions such as registration, approvals, or transfers must wait until after the portal has launched. See this announcement for information about the upgrade week.

Language accessibility?

At this time, the portal is available only in English unless you use a browser login. SEI is working toward increased language access across organizational domains. Please click here for translation browser extensions.

The Portal

How and when will I get a portal login?

If SEI has your information in Salesforce, you’ll receive an email in late January 2026 inviting you to create a portal login. If you do not receive it by February 1, a link will be available on the landing page at https://traumahealing.org/fonteva-information/ If you receive more than one invitation email, please only create one login with your preferred email address. If, upon logging in, you think we have incorrect data for you, please follow the instructions outlined here to update your data.

What will I see in the new system?

You’ll see your demographic information, event history from across the SE community, membership status, donation options, and—if eligible—access to the Practitioner Directory, Provider Directory, and the free Peter Levine demo library. Access in the new system is based on SEI’s data about you. If you do not see these items, please follow this link here to update your data.

What if I log in and my information is incorrect?

If something in your profile doesn’t look correct, please return to this page where instructions will be posted to update your information.

Where do I find forms in the new system?

All forms will be housed inside the portal and will pre-fill with your information pulled from your account, easing processing. The only form that will remain publicly available will be the general contact form. These changes will allow our staff to support you more quickly and ensure data integrity so you can always access your information correctly.

Membership

What happens to my current membership?

Your membership will automatically migrate to the new system. Anyone with a 1-year membership will receive an extra month added as a thank-you for being a part of our community.

What are the new tiers of Membership?

SEI will now offer two membership tiers:

Standard Membership – $150/year

  • 10% discount on all SEI short programs
  • Practitioner Directory: $50/year if eligible

Plus Membership – $229/year

  • 25% discount on all SEI short programs
  • Practitioner Directory: free if eligible

Assistant Pricing: Assistants listed in our system may purchase Plus Membership for $100/year. Note: SEI cannot issue refunds if your assistant role is not correctly updated before purchasing.

Important note: SEI is unable to issue a refund on membership if you are an assistant but sign up as a non-assistant. Please do not pay for a membership before checking the price. It costs SEI a significant amount of money to issue refunds in addition to the cost of the refund itself, and it takes a significant amount of staff time. Therefore, we will not be issuing refunds. If you do not see the correct pricing for your membership, please reach out and update your information so you will see the correct price in the portal.

Practitioner and Provider Directories

What happens to my current Practitioner Directory listing?

Practitioner directory listings will be moved into the portal. Your basic information will transfer, but you may need to update your bio, specialties, and any social media or website links. Your listing will go live automatically once information has been updated. The current directory will be discontinued when the new system launches. Please log into the new system soon to ensure the correct information is displayed for you.

How do I sign up for the Practitioner Directory?

Any SE student or SEP can join the Practitioner Directory through a subscription. A one-year subscription can be purchased through the e-store in the new portal. Pricing is based on whether you are a member of SEI. This lowered pricing structure is new to better serve our international community.

  • Regular price for non SEI members: $75/year
  • Standard SEI Members: $50/year and the cost of membership, which comes with other benefits as well.
  • Plus SEI Members: Free access to the Practitioner Directory and the cost of membership, which comes with other benefits as well.

What happens to my Provider Directory listing?

Your provider listing will be housed in the portal. Students and SEPs will be able to access it directly. Your information should transfer accurately, but please check it once you log in. You will be able to update all demographic information but not your assistant / provider level. If you are an EASE assistant, SEI has created a translation between EASE assisting guidelines and SEI assisting guidelines, and you will be listed in accordance with the SEI guidelines in the new system.

Where will I find providers in the new system?

If you’re an SE student or SEP, a link to the Provider Directory will appear inside your portal homepage.

Training Registration

If I’m a student, how will I register for trainings in the new system?
  • U.S. SEP trainings: Log into the portal and click “My Cohort Events” where you will see future events for which you are eligible to register.
  • International trainings: Contact the organizer listed on the event page.
  • Short programs: Locate the training for which you would like to register on the new Events Calendar, and it will take you to the portal for registration.
If I am an assistant, how will I register in the new system?
  • U.S. SEP trainings: Lead assistants will register you; you will no longer need to register yourself.
  • International trainings: Contact the organizer to follow their assistant registration process.
  • If you need to be removed from a training, fill out a contact form, located at https://traumahealing.org/contact/
When will applications I have submitted be completed (student, SEP, assistant, provider)?

Between December 1, 2025 and February 1, 2026 applications may take longer than usual, but all will be processed in time for you to attend your scheduled trainings.

Media and Videos

What happens to my Free Demo Library access?

The Peter Levine Demo Library will be accessed through the portal. Anyone identified as a student of the professional certificate program or an SEP will automatically see the Peter Levine demo videos in the e-store at no charge. If they do not appear, SEI may need more information to confirm your role. The old Peter video Media Library will no longer function once the new system goes live, but there is no special login for the new system, only the regular portal login as long as SEI has the correct information about you.

What happens to video rentals that I have already purchased?
  • Time-limited rentals will be available for the full duration of their rental period.
  • If a lifetime rental you purchased is missing, contact SEI.

Future Features

The portal launching in January 2026 is a major step forward, but it is not our final step. We know there are many new features to continue to add, and we plan to begin working on those as soon as we are settled in the new system. A common question we receive is whether Session Logs will be available in the new system. Session logs will continue as they are at first, but updating how we track sessions is one of our top priorities for next steps. Thank you so much for your support, patience, and continued dedication to the SE community. Together, we can transform lives through healing trauma!
