Dr. Larry Iannotti, SEP™, LCSW, PhD, is a dedicated social work psychotherapist committed to fostering the human potential for growth, healing, and transformation. With a focus on enriching individual lives and contributing to broader societal well-being, Dr. Iannotti brings extensive expertise in addressing issues related to sexuality, illness, disability, and trauma.

A Columbia School of Social Work graduate, Dr. Iannotti spent nearly a decade working in hospital-based HIV/AIDS clinics in New York City from 1992 to 2001. He later transitioned to private psychotherapy practice and earned a doctorate in Social Welfare from CUNY, researching discrimination and oppression faced by sexual minority communities. He has also served as a faculty member at Hunter College, teaching courses on Human Behavior and Human Sexuality to social work students.

Currently based in New York City, Dr. Iannotti works with adults in both individual and couples therapy, integrating trauma-informed, body-based modalities such as Somatic Experiencing, Hypnotherapy, and Inner Relationship Focusing. He believes these approaches, grounded in relational and attachment-based frameworks, provide a stable foundation for internal growth, resilience, and long-lasting healing. Dr. Iannotti emphasizes that Somatic Experiencing supports clients in accessing their most authentic selves and achieving a sustained sense of vitality.

Honored to be accepted onto the Somatic Experiencing Institute (SEI) faculty track, Dr. Iannotti continues to advance his passion for promoting wellness and supporting others on their journey toward more excellent health and self-discovery.
