Upcoming SE Institute 2021 Conference: Call For Proposals
On January 15, the SE Institute announced the call for presentations and workshops for the upcoming virtual conference: “I'm Here! Somatic Experiencing in 2021 & Beyond.” The conference will be held June 11-13, 2021. 


The deadline for applications is Friday, February 26, 2021 at 11:59 pm EST.

The Assistant Work Group is seeking volunteers for its next cycle. The Assistant Work Group meets bi-weekly for one hour to collaborate with SE Trauma Institute staff on the Assistant Priorities established by the first cycle of the Assistant Work Group. Assistants from Associação Brasileira do Trauma (ABT), BIPOC assistants, and male-identifying assistants are encouraged to apply to improve the inclusivity and diversity of the group. If you are comfortable doing so, please indicate if you identify with any of these groups when you apply. For more information, or to submit your name and resume for consideration, please email assisting@traumahealing.org.

SE Community Conversations: The State of Men's Mental Health

We are pleased to announce the next SE Community Conversation on February 12, 2021 at 12:00 pm MST. Registration is free, but we do welcome donations (linked below). Participation is encouraged. Please feel free to engage with the panelists or stay in the background. All are welcome. We offer these SE Community Conversations as an extra resource for all of you, free of charge. This webinar will introduce participants to a neuroscience and relationship-based approach to working with children and teens that ameliorates the effects of toxic stress by fostering regulation and empathic relationships. Maggie will focus on the roadmap she has developed that highlights two distinctive requisite paths to interrupt trauma-reactive patterns in kids with developmental trauma. This method is a synergistic application of Somatic Experiencing, Embodied Mindfulness, Polyvagal and Secure Attachment Theory.

This webinar takes place February 16, 2021 from 11:30 am – 12:30 pm MST via Zoom. The registration fee for members is $29 and $79 for non-members.  Registration closes at 12 pm MST on February 15.

Collective Trauma, The Brainand Reconciliation is a unique collaboration among experts in the field of collective trauma, healing, conflict resolution, and reconciliation, featuring Dr. Danny Brom, Gina Ross, MFCT, and Dr. Salim Munayer and moderated by Sir Simon Wessely.

The 90-minute webinar will address the nature of collective trauma and its consequences, present innovative solutions for healing it, protocols for conflict resolution, as well as platforms to implement reconciliation.
