| Rebecca Stahl, SEI Board Chair |
| “My experience in many different professional organizations is that service and community go hand-in-hand. SEI, as an organization, continues to strive to find coherence in structure, connection, and healing. Committees, workgroups, and advisory councils are some of the ways we hope to continue to find this organizational coherence.” |

Please join us in congratulating Marv on this incredible honor recognizing all he has done for associations. This move will provide Ana Paula with a sense of both professional and personal progress, expanding her role with SEI and nourishing her traveler's spirit. She says about the move: |

Believe in Our Mission? Here is Your Chance to Help.
| Volunteers are the lifeblood of every non-profit – SEI included. You help us lighten the load, amplify our efforts, make a bigger impact, and reach our strategic planning goals.
We have big plans for better communications from SEI, including podcasts, more videos, and rich and robust content on our website that will help us tell the many stories of SE. Specifically, we are currently looking for people who’d like to join a new Communications Advisory Committee to advise and help us with these plans. If you have both an interest and skills in communications planning and implementation, we’d love to hear from you. We envision a small but dedicated group of volunteers for this new Committee. Your support of our Communications team can really make a difference.
Please complete the Committee Application and email it to setoday@traumahealing.org |

An Interview with SEI Romanian Organizer Florentina Niculescu

| Florentina Niculescu |

"The effects of unresolved trauma can be devastating. They can affect our habits and outlook on life, leading to addictions and a low ability to make decisions. They can affect family relationships and interpersonal relationships as well as trigger real physical pain, symptoms and illness and lead to a range of self-destructive behaviors.
But trauma is not a life sentence."
